Save Time and Money Online Grocery Shopping – Plus $10 off

A few weeks ago, I shared on my stories that I finally decided to look more into the “pick up” option for Walmart groceries. Y’ALL, I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! I wanted to share it with you today because I would say it’s a step below life-changing. For me, anyway.

I don’t enjoy grocery shopping. I dread it because I feel like there are so many other things I could do with that time. I always forget things and have to go back to different isles and am all over the place. I also impulse buy like woah. I will see something that looks good, or that I want to try, and before I know it, it adds $30 to my total. Whoops.

I typically always grocery shop at Walmart anyway because their prices are just better than everywhere else. The one I go to is only 6 minutes from our house, so getting there isn’t the time suck. It’s walking around looking for everything. I’d much rather not have to do it. Plus, Jake hates going, too, so I’m usually alone. Now, enter the online option.

It’s the easiest thing. Go onto, and in the top right corner, there is a little icon that looks like milk and a tomato. If you hover over it, it says Grocery. Click that, and you’ll be asked to pick your store location for pick up, and then to reserve a time to pick everything up.

Because Jake and I are on a meal plan right now, we have a specific grocery list that I’m able to go down and add everything I need to the cart. This is where the savings comes in, because I’m no longer impulse buying things that look good. I can stick to my list and get only what we need. It also prevents us from wasting food by only getting what we need for the week. If you don’t have a set grocery list, I suggest planning out your meals for the week, and making your list off of the recipes to ensure you have everything.

As embarrassing as it is to admit, I’m typically in such a hurry to get done that I actually forget to look at my list when I’m there and I forget things. I actually have done that with the online version, too. But the cool thing is, there is a window of time to adjust your order. So if you place it and then change your mind and either want to take something off or add something on, it will tell you how long you have to do so.

I was curious if this would allow me to get things other than groceries and it DOES! I can get dog treats and hair things and shampoo. All of the things. Add to the level of wonderful. There is a $30 minimum for the grocery service, but I think that’s a really easy threshold to hit. Jake was also nervous about them picking our produce for us, thinking they would put less effort into what they gave us but we’ve had no issues with that so far. Everything looks like what we would pick ourselves.

So how it works after you check out online, they will shop for you, weight your produce items at the end and charge you the total. When you show up, you type in your name to the kiosk, they tell you which numbered space to park in, they bring out your groceries and put them in your car for you, go over everything and you sign off and leave. If they were out of something, they will offer a comparable substitution which you can either accept or decline. And that’s it! You’re done.

  • 🥰Our first Valentine’s Day being married was so special! Nothing like getting a beautiful arrangement of roses, right ladies?! Jake had them use pink and lavender roses and lavender sprigs between them to fill it out instead of baby’s breath. It smells so good!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day ❤️

  • Comfy casual for errands is my style 👌🏻 also I love this hat because on the days I don’t feel like doing anything with my hair, hats are a lifesaver. And dry shampoo 😂. I put a poll up on my stories yesterday asking if you guys want to see a series of posts on #cozyminimalism and the answer was an overwhelming yes! I’ve already started working on them and will start posting next week so stay tuned!! In the mean time, check out my post on 12 ways you’re wasting money on clothes and how to stop. • Fun fact day about my wonderful husband: Jake has this uncanny ability to make me smile and laugh even when I’m sick. I was in bed all weekend but somehow he managed to still make me feel better.
He is the king of puns and loves to make corny jokes. I’m talking real bad dad jokes. But I think they’re hilarious, and his enthusiasm and the fact that HE finds them so funny is the best part.

It’s the little things like this that showed me he was my perfect person. That and he told me he was going to marry me after 3 weeks of dating 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ which also made my laugh at the time but 9 months later he was down on one knee!
That was also the same day I tried to break up with him because I had just gotten out of a bad relationship and I was starting to like him way too much too soon. I told him I wasn’t ready for another relationship and he literally said “are you trying to break up with me? We’re gonna get married.” I busted out laughing but he was so serious.
Even then, I could tell he really believed that. Now 4 months into our marriage he still shows me every day he wants to be married to me ❤️👰🏻🤵🏻 We have to appreciate the little things like the bad jokes because the effort behind them is how people say “I love you” in other ways. Happy Monday 💕#marriedlife💍 #marriagegoals
